SPECIALIST // Chris Brown’s Bio
Chris began his career in education as an intern with McGraw-Hill Higher Education while enrolled as a student at Gettysburg College. He used his liberal arts education in English Literature and Spanish to transition into a full-time market development role with McGraw-Hill upon graduation. After a year of managing all the market development events across his assigned business unit, Chris took a field sales position with McGraw-Hill in Raleigh, NC. It was in the field that Chris gained valuable experience selling technology solutions and managing complex customer relationships. He then moved into a marketing position where he was responsible for sales training, sales enablement, creating and implementing effective sales tools, and refining the product story for McGraw-Hill’s World Languages titles.
Chris joined Pearson to step into a product marketing position so he could be more closely aligned with product development. It is at Pearson that Chris has been focused on market research, customer-centric product development, product messaging, and product positioning.
