Literacy events

Throughout the year organizations, teams, and groups host events focused on literacy. These range from large symposiums to intimate gatherings. Some are private and others are open to the public. Some are free and others require payment. We’ve listed a few of these events here to make it easy for you to keep track of them. We hope to see you at an event soon.

    October 2016, February and April 2017 - Across London and Thames Valley - Run by Investing in Children, Family Literacy events are a day of fun activities revolving around encouraging literacy and reading within the home.

  • Plum Creek Children's Literacy Festival

    22nd to 24th September 2016 in Plum Creek, Nebraska - Founded in 1996, the Plum Creek Children’s Literacy Festival seeks to encourage a love of reading, writing, and books by bringing nationally renowned authors and illustrators to Nebraska.

  • International Literacy Association Conference 2017

    15th - 17th July 2017 - Orlando, Florida - ILA’s conference is the premier event for literacy professionals worldwide, and this year’s theme focuses on reimagining literacy, including diving in to the ever-evolving definition of literacy and exploring how it impacts instruction across disciplines.
